MORE DETAILS ON C/6’S BOTANICAL ORGANIC FORMULA
Lavandula angustifolia flower water (lavender floral water)
Lavender is credited with being anti-allergenic, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, antibacterial, antispasmodic, balancing, energising, soothing, healing, toning and stimulating. Lavender is thought to stimulate cellular growth and regeneration in the skin by helping your upper layer of skin rejuvenate itself.
Prunus amygdalus dulcis oil (sweet almond oil)
Almond oil features a light consistency so the skin readily absorbs the natural oils from the nut to replenish and reduce dryness in the upper layers of the skin. It is also known to reduce fine lines on the face, moisturise the skin, soothe dry, chapped lips, and relieve itching. It is a rich emollient that moisturises the skin with renewed hydration, helping to minimize signs associated with premature ageing and creating a glow to the skin when absorbed.
Butyrospermum parkii butter (shea butter)
Shea butter is a natural fat derived from the nuts of the shea tree that has been used for centuries in West African cultures for its medicinal and cosmetic benefits. Shea butter contains a high concentration of vitamins A, E, and F, which work together to nourish and moisturise the skin. Its fatty acids also help to protect the skin's natural oils and improve its elasticity. Shea butter is particularly beneficial for dry, sensitive, or ageing skin as it can help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It is also a great ingredient for those with eczema, psoriasis, or other skin conditions, as it can soothe and heal irritated skin. Overall, shea butter is a fantastic natural option for a healthy, hydrated, and glowing skin.
Cetearyl alcohol
A fatty alcohol of plant origin, cetearyl alcohol supports the main emulsion system and gives texture to the formula.
Camelina sativa seed oil (camelina seed oil)
Also named "Gold of Pleasure", it is a remarkable oil, as it has a high content of of both the Omega-6 and Omega-3 families. In addition it is one of the rare oils with a significant content (up to 15%) of eicosenoic acid. Its effects are well known to soften the skin and protect it against weather influences.
Cera alba (beeswax)
The only non-vegan (although organic) ingredient of C/6's formula, it is known for its skin-protective and moisturising properties, especially due to its high vitamin A content. It protects the skin against agressions such as wind and cold, and has anti-inflammatory properties.
Cetearyl glucoside
It is an emulsifier of plant origin extracted from sugar and coconut.
c14-22 alcohols
c14-22 alcohols are fatty alcohols derived from vegetables and look completely different to “bad” alcohols. They’re not drying or irritating to your skin at all, they just help as emulsifiers in the formula.
Lavandula angustifolia oil (lavender essential oil)
Lavender is credited with being anti-allergenic, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, antibacterial, antispasmodic, balancing, energising, soothing, healing, toning and stimulating. Lavender is thought to stimulate cellular growth and regeneration in the skin by helping your upper layer of skin rejuvenate itself.
Benzyl alcohol
An antimicrobial preservative and solvent. One of the few preservatives allowed in organic products. It is naturally present in apricots, almonds, apples, asparagus, etc.
c12-20 alkyl glucoside
Of natural origins and approved by all organic certifications, it helps to stabilise emulsions and provides a restructuring effect and a moisturising effect.
Dehydroacetic acid
Used as an antimicrobial and fungicide preservative.
Linalool, geraniol, limonene, coumarin
