C/7 Skin Radiance Unifying Cream with Arbutin & Rayolys Phytobioactive
A maximum efficiency undiluted organic-certified face cream containing 73.30% of active natural ingredients.
Apply a small amount onto each cheek, forehead, and neck. Smooth over the face, from the centre outwards. Then, glide under the jawline, from chin to ears.
Benefits
Similarly to all Cosmydor’s face creams, C/7 is extremely hydrating, in its case thanks to the high concentration in shea butter, sesame seed oil and beeswax.
Its key benefit is to partially erase the differences between the small brown spots that appear naturally on the skin of the face with age, and under the influence of exposure to the sun.
Its formula shares with Cosmydor’s Unifying Serum with Coffee Bean Powder a trio of ingredients, the phytobioactive rayolys, composed of peach leaf extract, raspberry extract and apple extract. It combines it with arbutin - a powerful extract of bearberry known to inhibit melanin synthesis and provide a lightening and unifying effect on the complexion.
The unifying action on the skin is reinforced by the Damascus rose, known to illuminate and invigorate the complexion. Added to this is geranium, also used for its toning and balancing effect on the skin.
You should also note a brightening effect of this cream on your skin, which is a known benefit of the Damascus rose and arbutin.

MORE DETAILS ON C/7’S BOTANICAL ORGANIC FORMULA
Rosa damascena flower water (Damascus rose floral water)
Damascus rose contains very high levels of antioxidant properties which protect the skin from damage caused by free radicals and other skin stresses. It has anti-inflammatory, cooling and soothing properties which can help with stress-related conditions in more mature skin types. It is also excellent for treating broken capillaries and scarring to help skin tone appear more even. Damascus rose can also promote healthy skin cell growth to strengthen and smooth the skin.
Sesamum indicum seed oil (sesame seed oil)
Sesame seed oil is rich in essential fatty acids. Known for its softening and skin-rejuvenating properties, it penetrates quickly without being greasy.
Butyrospermum parkii butter (shea butter)
Shea butter is a natural fat derived from the nuts of the shea tree that has been used for centuries in West African cultures for its medicinal and cosmetic benefits. Shea butter contains a high concentration of vitamins A, E, and F, which work together to nourish and moisturise the skin. Its fatty acids also help to protect the skin's natural oils and improve its elasticity. Shea butter is particularly beneficial for dry, sensitive, or ageing skin as it can help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It is also a great ingredient for those with eczema, psoriasis, or other skin conditions, as it can soothe and heal irritated skin. Overall, shea butter is a fantastic natural option for a healthy, hydrated, and glowing skin.
Oryza sativa starch (rice starch)
Rice starch is a natural substance that has long been used in cosmetics and skincare products for delicate, sensitive skin. Rice starch powders are known for their absorbent properties to treat skin disorders. They form a thin film on the skin as a buffer against rubbing. By absorbing water, they extend the duration of the skin's moisture and provide hydrating and emollient benefits. They also have a refreshing effect, reducing redness, irritation and itching.
Coco-glucoside
Emollient of natural origin, it softens and smoothens the skin, and acts as a skin feel and texture agent. An ideal natural substitute for silicone.
Cera alba (beeswax)
The only non-vegan (although organic) ingredient of C/6's formula, it is known for its skin-protective and moisturizing properties, especially due to its high vitamin A content. It protects the skin against agressions such as wind and cold, and has anti-inflammatory properties.
Coconut alcohol
It acts as an emollient, therefore retains moisture in the skin. It is also used an emulsion stabilizer to combine water and oil in products.
Arbutin
Arbutin is derived from the leaves of fruits such as bearberry, pear and cranberry. Arbutin is known as a natural skin-lightening agent, as it helps stop any extra production of melanin (by stopping tyrosinase to produce tyrosine, used by the skin to produce melanin). Less tyrosine and less melanin mean less pigment, fewer dark spots, and a more even complexion.
Pelargonium graveolens oil (geranium essential oil)
Geranium oil is used for its toning and balancing effect on the skin. It also gives a sweet, rose-like aroma to soaps. The oil is antiseptic and astringent, which helps to even out colour and oiliness by constricting the tissues to balance sebum production and circulation.
Benzyl alcohol
An antimicrobial preservative and solvent. One of the few preservatives allowed in organic products. It is naturally present in apricots, almonds, apples, asparagus, etc.
Xanthan gum
An excellent, sugar-based, natural thickener for emulsions and cleansing systems. It is a polysaccharide produced through a bio-fermentation process of the Xanthamonas campestris bacteria and sucrose or glucose.
Glycerin
It is a natural moistening additive, which maintains the moisture content of the skin or formula itself. Its moisturizing and softening effects one from its ability to capture water molecules and lock them in the cells of the epidermis. It is found in its natural state in cherries, but also in all-natural fats like those of the skin.
Alcohol
We do not use alcohol as an ingredient as it dries the skin, however, there is a small quantity in this formula, coming from the hydroalcoholic preparation of rayolys (a mix of peach/apple/raspberry extracts, see below).
Dehydroacetic acid
Used as an antimicrobial and fungicide preservative.
Prunus persica leaf extract (peach leaf extract), pyrus malus fruit extract (apple extract) and Rubus idaeus fruit extract (raspberry extract)
They make up Phytobioactive Rayolys, a hydroglycolic blend of peach leaves, apples, and raspberries used in formulations that fight against the ageing process and brighten the skin. Rayolys reduces pigmentation and lightens the complexion, it traps free radicals, and restructures the epidermis.
Citral, citronellol, eugenol, geraniol, limonene, linalool
These are not ingredients in the formula, but naturally occurring allergens mostly from essential oils which have to be indicated on packaging over a certain threshold as per European regulations. According to the European Scientific Committee on Consumer Safety (SCCS), 1% to 3% of the European population may be allergic to these natural substances.
