Scent: you will smell the warm tonka bean, which will probably remind you of chocolate.

Texture: Quite light, it penetrates quickly in your skin thanks to its emulsion nature (similar to the skin's surface).

• Sesamum indicum seed oil (sesame seed oil)

  Sesame seed oil is rich in essential fatty acids. Known for its softening and skin-rejuvenating properties, it penetrates quickly without being greasy.

• Dipteryx odorata bean extract (tonka bean extract)

  Tonka bean acts as an optical brightener reducing the appearance of uneven skin tone and age spots. It absorbs UV light and leaves the skin looking healthier and more radiant. Finally, it is known for its anti-ageing properties thanks to the antioxidant protection it provides against extrinsic damage.

• c14-22 alcohols

  c14-22 alcohols are fatty alcohols derived from vegetables and look completely different to “bad” alcohols. They’re not drying or irritating to your skin at all, they just help as emulsifiers in the formula.

• Cera alba (beeswax)

  The only non-vegan (although organic) ingredient in E/2's formula, it is known for its skin-protective and moisturizing properties, especially due to its high vitamin A content. It protects the skin against agressions such as wind and cold, and has anti-inflammatory properties.

• Glycerin

  It is a natural moistening additive, which maintains the moisture content of the skin or formula itself. Its moisturising and softening effects one from its ability to capture water molecules and lock them in the cells of the epidermis. It is found in its natural state in cherries, but also in all-natural fats like those of the skin.

• Astragalus gummifer gum (tragacanth gum)

  Tragacanth gum helps naturally to keep the emulsion nature of our formula from separating into its oil and liquid components.

• c12-20 alkyl glucoside

  Of natural origins and approved by all organic certifications, it helps to stabilise emulsions and provides a restructuring effect and a moisturising effect.

• Alcohol

  We do not use alcohol as an ingredient as it dries the skin, however, there is a small quantity in this formula, coming from the hydroalcoholic preparation of rayolys (a mix of peach/apple/raspberry extracts, see below).

• Benzyl alcohol

  Antimicrobial preservative and solvent. One of the few preservatives allowed in organic products. It is naturally present in apricots, almonds, apples, asparagus, etc.

• Cocos nucifera oil (coconut oil)

  Coconut oil is obtained by expression from the dried inner flesh of the coconut, Cocos nucifera. Coconut oil is high in protective antioxidants and antibacterial fatty acids. It suits all skin types and is light, non-greasy and rapidly absorbed giving deep hydration and conditioning to skin, scalp and hair. Research shows it can improve skin elasticity helping prevent premature ageing and wrinkle formation.

• Ricinus communis seed oil (castor bean oil)

  Castor bean oil is a vegetable oil known to be effective at healing inflamed skin, reducing acne, fading blemishes and stretch marks, preventing stretch marks and pigmentation, moisturising skin fighting the different visible signs of ageing. It also helps creams maintain a smooth consistency in a variety of climate conditions.

• Olea europea fruit oil (olive oil)

  Olive oil is very rich in fatty acids and antioxidants. Known for its virtues of hydrating and restoring the skin's hydrolipidic film, elasticity and suppleness.

• Potassium hydroxide

  Caustic potash is used as a buffer agent to adjust the pH of the formula to resemble that of the skin.

• Borago officinalis seed oil (borage vegetable oil)

  Naturally rich in vitamins A and E, and Omegas 3 and 5, borage is recommended for dry skin, itching, and skin disorders with inflammation, due to the high proportion of gamma-linolenic acid, as a gamma linolenic acid deficiency can result in itching and dry skin. It has a positive effect on the barrier function of the epidermis. It improves skin appearance, primarily if skin is dry and scaly.

• Lactic acid

  Additive (of plant origin in our case) used as a buffer agent to adjust the pH of the formula to resemble that of the skin.

• Sodium chloride

  Table salt is used as a blooming agent of our emulsions.

• Dehydroacetic acid

  Used as an antimicrobial and fungicide preservative.

• Prunus persica leaf extract (peach leaf extract), pyrus malus fruit extract (apple extract) and Rubus idaeus fruit extract (raspberry extract)

  They make up Phytobioactive Rayolys, a hydroglycolic blend of peach leaves, apples, and raspberries used in formulations that fight against the ageing process and brighten the skin. Rayolys reduces pigmentation and lightens the complexion, it traps free radicals, and restructures the epidermis.
